1.) Your main keyword should be a phrase of 2-3 words. The more
specific, the better. For example, “dogs” is way too general. “Dog training” is better, but “Pomeranian dog training”
is even better. You get the idea.
2.) In choosing a Domain Name it is advisable to keep it as short as possible,
preferably 1 - 3 words, and the most common suffix is .com. Hyphenated words or phrases are more difficult for people to remember,
but may help with the search engines.
3.) Your main keyword should appear in your domain name, your top banner alt
tag, your headings on your page, and in your text on a ratio of about 1 - 3%. Any images you have on your page should also be
named with one of your keywords to help the search engines.
4.) In addition, your main keyword should appear at the
very beginning of your page and at the very end of it. Using bold or italicize will likely also help if it is done only once
or twice per page.
5.) On each web page try to have more links going to your other pages than outgoing links to other websites.
6.) Incorporate into your website or blog several unique articles related to your theme. This may take time but will definitely help with your SEO.
7.) Add fresh content regularly so that visitors will have a reason to return to your site or blog and the search engines will like this also.
These are just a few of the many basic
SEO requirements, but they are some of the more important ones and should help your site or blog get ranked in the search engines
better.
